Pashmina Scarf
A classic woven scarf design dating as far back as the Renaissance in the Kashmir region. Pashmina is Persian for Wool. Traditionally, the fibers are combed, not sheared, from the underbelly fur or ikat of Himalayan mountain goats, with fur 30 times smaller than a human hair. The scarves are woven into soft, colorful and ornate cloths with fringed edges. They offer lightweight protection from sun, wind, rain and cold. Layers well, great for traveling. Versatile for use as a skirt, sash, hood, blanket, bag, traveling alter cloth and more. This is the base fabric for all the clothing in the shop. Custom orders are always available- any scarf into any garment. Patterns and colors vary widely.
